MoorSpace named fourth-best external storage site in Europe

MoorSpace Storage Co has been placed fourth in Europe in the External Storage Site of the Year category at the 2026 FEDESSA European Self Storage Awards.

The awards recognise excellence across the European self storage industry, celebrating businesses that demonstrate high standards in areas including site development, customer experience, security, innovation and operational performance.

Being shortlisted alongside some of Europe’s leading self storage businesses was already a significant achievement for our independent Huddersfield company. To go on to achieve fourth place across Europe is something the entire MoorSpace team is incredibly proud of.

A memorable visit to Frankfurt

The awards ceremony took place in Frankfurt as part of Boxtoberfest, bringing together self storage operators, suppliers and industry specialists from across Europe.

Before the awards, the MoorSpace team spent time exploring the trade exhibition, learning about the latest technology and equipment available to the industry and catching up with existing suppliers.

It was also a valuable opportunity to meet fellow storage companies, exchange ideas and hear about the different ways sites across Europe are developing their facilities and services.

Events such as Boxtoberfest provide an important opportunity to look beyond the day-to-day running of the business, discover new ideas and consider how emerging technology could further improve the experience offered to MoorSpace customers.

A proud achievement for our Huddersfield team

MoorSpace has continued to invest in its Crosland Moor site, combining more than 60 external storage containers with a modern indoor facility offering over 100 individual storage units.

From enhanced security and convenient customer access to the ongoing development of our facilities, the team remains committed to making storage straightforward, secure and accessible for households and businesses across Huddersfield.

Achieving fourth place in a European award is an important milestone and recognition of the hard work that has gone into developing the site and the service provided by the MoorSpace team.

Thank you to everyone who sent messages and wished us luck ahead of the awards. We are extremely grateful for the support and proud to have represented Huddersfield on a European stage.
